I struggle with the word artist. When I pick up a camera, I am constantly asking myself, “what can I do with it?” But I ask those same questions, every time I pick up anything.
I was like that every time I picked up my skateboard, every time I went to martial arts class and for that matter every time I pushed a shopping cart. I think there is this constant struggle in my head to put my spin on it. Does that make me an artist?
